AC and heating questions, answered
Straight answers from our Palm Desert team. Still have a question? Call us or book a visit and ask your tech.
How much does AC repair cost in Palm Desert?
It depends on what failed. A capacitor or contactor is a small repair, while a compressor or coil costs more. Our emergency service call is $65, and your technician always gives you the exact repair price before any work starts, so you decide with no surprises.
Do you offer 24-hour emergency AC repair?
Yes. Next Level Air Conditioning answers 24 hours a day, Monday through Saturday, for AC and heating emergencies across the Coachella Valley. The emergency service call is $65. We are closed on Sundays.
How much is an AC tune-up?
An AC tune-up is $69 and a heating tune-up is $49. We recommend one AC tune-up each spring and one heating tune-up each fall.
How long does an air conditioner last in the Coachella Valley?
Desert heat makes air conditioners work much harder than in milder climates, so many systems here last around 10 to 15 years. Yearly tune-ups, clean filters and a correctly sized system help yours reach the top of that range.
Should I repair or replace my AC?
Repair usually makes sense for a younger system with a single failed part. If your unit is 12 to 15 years old, needs a major repair like a compressor, or keeps breaking down, replacing it often costs less over time. Your technician shows you both options with real prices.
Do you repair heaters and furnaces in the winter?
Yes. We repair and replace gas furnaces, electric heaters and heat pumps across the Coachella Valley. A heating tune-up is $49, and no-heat emergency calls are $65, 24 hours a day Monday to Saturday.
Is Next Level Air Conditioning licensed and insured?
Yes. We hold California contractor license CSLB #1108975, we are fully insured, and we have been BBB Accredited since 2023.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Palm Desert, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Indio, Yucca Valley, 29 Palms, Banning, Beaumont, Moreno Valley, Redlands, San Bernardino and Temecula.
Do you work on commercial HVAC systems?
Yes. Along with homes, we repair, maintain and replace HVAC systems for shops, offices and other commercial buildings, including rooftop package units.
Which AC brands do you repair?
We service every major brand, including Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Amana, Rheem and Daikin, so you never need a brand-specific dealer.
Do you offer financing and free estimates?
Yes. New system estimates are free, with a written price and no pressure, and financing is available so you can spread the cost into monthly payments.
